Once more, with color!

I'm not a big fan of Starbucks. I think their coffee's normally too expensive and burned-tasting... however! I love their gingerbread lattes (they're calling them ginger snap lattes now...?), and this time of year rocks because of said gingerbread(snap) lattes. Not sure what it is about them that's so delicious -- it could be I'm just a sucker for anything Christmas, and a cold day screams for gingerbready(snappy) goodness. Whatever, my point is I couldn't resist one yesterday, and the minute I saw the little green mermaid plugs they're adding to keep the coffee warm (I'm guessing), I couldn't resist drawing it either.

I usually don't buy Starbuck (way too overpriced!) but I agree that the Gingersnap lattes are divine. Love your new blog, welcome to the EDM group!

As if anyone needs an excuse to indulge in a treat! The mermaid plug sounds like a good idea really. I hate it when my coffee gets cold before it's finished off.

Great drawings. I almost thought - okay, I did think- they were photos at first.

I too have always complained that Starbucks coffee tastes burned and is way too expensive. When I do go to Starbucks I have a very expensive tea.

Nice artwork. I look forward to following your blog and seeing what you are working on.

Hi BMoon! Thanks! I used watercolor and then filled in some detail with colored pencils.

Your stipple drawing of the flower is too cool!
