Movin' & Shakin'

My books are currently occupying my living room floor, creating neat little canyons to and from the kitchen. I'm not sure how many I'll be able to take with me to San Francisco (when am I ever going to need to read a comprehensive analysis of Nepalese love letters when I can reread Harry Potter?), but I'd hate to leave any behind. They give a room character, not to mention comfort.

I love this drawing! My floor looks a bit like that too, except I don't have the excuse that I'm moving... I just have too many books.

Beautifully drawn! And yes, looks very familiar...especially since my husband moved here after he retired!

Thanks ladies! I don't think it's possible to have too many books...

I saw a really cool article somepalce with photos--where they made things with books---like tables etc---I myself am giving away what I can to people that sound like they'd be good to them...GREAT drawing--I'd like it framed..

Love it! That looks very familiar. I love the way you've used the white - it really makes them jump out of the page.

Oh, this is so perfect! I love how you drew the books and then listed the contents of the piles above them. What a fantastic piece. I LOVE IT!!!

Wonderful! And just think... you no longer have to hide your drawings underneath a TimeLog.

Lovely sketch. I'm wondering how you did the whites: erase the previous painted background, or with a white pencil, or other medium?

Just think, now you have drawn and labelled your books, you can set them out in the same order on your next floor! A great drawing and wonderful composition.

This is EXCELLENT. Damn, I wish it were my drawing.

I'm starting on packing up all of my books this weekend. Dreading it really, because I know I have an attic full. I was wondering how to arrange them for a drawing. This is perfect.

I think this is a really nice illustration style. I like the approach used in the labels and leader lines. Kind of squiggly and casual, like it's in your own personal visual journal (which it may well be.) This would be nice for magazine illustration.
